A Beautiful Outdoor Space

Much more than a beer garden, our beautifully landscaped outdoor space is fully equipped for relaxation, dining and children's play.

The large garden is fully enclosed by the original stone walls, wicker fencing panels and planted trees. The ramp access to the patio provides access for wheelchair users and families with pushchairs.

An extensive natural stone patio features wooden garden benches and comfy rattan chairs. The patio gives way to an extensive grass lawn, into which is set a rubberised play area with a multi-level children's adventure play area with slides.

There is independent access from either the restaurant area and bar, upstairs private function room and the Snug.

A sheltered sun trap, the garden is a natural draw on fine days but we have planted shade trees too for those who prefer to keep out of the sunshine.

The aspect from the hotel is of the extensive green lawn and of curved, natural stone walls, glass safety railings and the play area.

We also have feature areas such as a water feature within a heather rockery and a small coppice of white barked, snow queen birch trees.

If you'd like to eat outside we are now pleased to be able to offer food in the garden.

Dog Friendly

Well-behaved dogs on lead are welcome on the hard patio only and in the general bar area. If you are walking the Prom with your family pet, join us for refreshment and ask for water you dog too.
